You are More Capable Than You Think

It is a wonderful thing that we are incredibly capable of being the ultimate authority in our own lives.  Yet at times it appears that we are at the whim of others, whether it is politics, friends, family or the current climate in the world.

What if, even though these circumstances, situations, and challenges may exist, the amount of influence they have over you is a matter of the amount of self leadership you exert over your own mind.

Patterns of thought, emotions, and stories we unconsciously tell ourselves create an unintentional and yet obsessive focus upon particular circumstances.  We can forget to remind ourselves that we are the ones putting all that energy into judging, resisting or focusing on things that cause our stress.

Under that stress we are less able to perceive new possibilities or solutions, as our executive function (the front part of the brain that obectively problem solves), is not optimally functioning.

What if you took a moment to take a few really deep breaths and reconnected to an experience that brings you great joy and relaxation.  You will naturally move your focus of attention and feel your body begin to relax.  As you then take a moment to look around, 98% of the time you will notice that problem is not observable to those around you, so is not actually in your reality at present.

It is in your own mind, causing you overwhelm and stress.

Make a choice where you put your attention, ease the stress, step into joy. This can give your incredible innate abilities a chance to change direction and open to new possibilities.
